Abstract： Scene monitoring automation system has become an indispensable and important system equipment in airport regional air traffic control. At present， in addition to Guangzhou Baiyun Airport tower， the central and southern air traffic control area has a long time experience in using scene monitoring automation system. Airports in other regions are in the stage of opening or planning new systems， and the new brand scene monitoring automation system has also joined the selection process. This paper makes a c
omprehensive and multi-angle comparative study on the scene monitoring automation system which is in use and will be put into operation in Central South area from the aspects of equipment structure， software function and hardware configuration， and analyzes the merits and demerits of each system. The ideal architecture of scene monitoring automation system is summarized.
