“there be ”句型表示“某处存在某物”，本句型中的there 为引导词，本身并没有具体意义，以动词be 的某种形式作谓语动词，以表示泛指或特指的名词作为句子的主语。there 后面除了可以用动词be 的各种形式之外，还可以用其他动词的不同形式。现将其主要用法介绍如下:顽皮故事
路线搜索一、there be 后面如有几个并列主语，谓语动词形式应和与其靠近的一个名词在数上保持一致。例如:

二、there be 句型中的谓语动词可以是be go ing to be ,seem to be ,happen to be ,used to be ,be likely to be ,might be 等。例如:
少数意见There is go ing to be a heavy snow tonight.今晚会有一场大雪。There seems to be something w rong with the eng ine.发动机好像有毛病了。
There happened to be a car nearby .碰巧附近有辆车。
There used to be a hospital here.从前这里有家医院。
There is likely to be a meeting at 5o =clo ck.五点钟可能有个会议。
三、there be 句型中还可使用除be 以外的不及物动词，如live ,exist ,stand ,lie ,go ,come 等。例如:
