那一课
“诗化小说”是在法国象征主义运动中产生的，它的倡导者可以追溯到法国象征派诗人古尔蒙在1893年提出的原则“小说是一首诗篇，不是诗歌的小说并不存在。”从此，诗化小说作为融合叙述方式与诗意方式的类型开始流行。所谓诗化小说，是一种追求诗美效果的小说，是小说和诗的融合、渗透后出现的一种边缘文学形式。美国弗里德曼认为“随着意识流的出现，诗与小说结合起来了。”
协作通信而在现代中国小说创作中则以废名、沈从文等为诗化小说创作的主流，随着诗化小说的出现和流行，对它们的研究也渐渐云起。目前国内对于沈从文小说创作中的诗化特质的研究
方向主要集中在他和废名及其他同类作家的比较以及小说的象征艺术、叙事结构、诗性主题上，而对于诗化小说这一具体涵义中的审美特质少有深入研究。诗化小说，顾名思义也就是将小说诗化了的小说，那么它身上也必将兼具小说与诗歌二者的特征。小说，是以刻画人物为中心、通过完整的故事情节和具体的环境描写来反映社会生活；诗歌，是以抒情的方式，用丰富的想象、富有节奏感与韵律美的语言高度凝练、集中地反映社会生活。这两种文学体裁的两相融合所使小说体现出更好的审美效果，最主要体现在语言的柔美、情感的真挚强烈以及如行云流水般地表述上，从整体的感觉而言它又带有散文的自然散漫的的特点。
本文主要以诗化小说中诗歌与小说完美融合后所具有的具体特点为研究方向，侧重点放在语言、情感及意境上，在具体研究沈从文小说具体的内容和特点的同时，也通过与同类作家作品的比较及与相关诗歌的风格、意境的对比来进行研究，旨在以最自然的方式去体会其中的美感。
