    英语课程要面向全体学生,注重素质教育,特别强调要关注每个学生的情感,激发他们学习英语的兴趣,帮助他们建立学习的成就感和自信心外大陆架,使他们在学习过程中发展综合语言运用能力,提高人文素养,增强实践能力,培养创新精神,努力让学生放眼世界,扩大视野,更多地涉猎英语国家的文化背景、历史传统、人文地理等,星天牛在学习英语国家的文化的同时,培养学生对中华文化的了解和热爱。本人担任六年级2班的英语教学,通过几年的学习,六年级的学生们对英语已经有了一定的了解,具备了一定得英语学习能力,掌握了一些日常对话用语和一定量的词汇。但是仍然有一部分学生对学习英语有一定的困难,两极分化比较严重。
二、教材分析
    本单元主要围绕D am ing在美国的见闻这一主题,谈论可能要做的事情的话题。通过本单元的学习,进一步复习巩固一般现在时等以前学习的内容;扩展学习谈论可能要做的事情的话题。同时,使学生了解联合国的由来,培养学生热爱祖国、热爱和平的高尚品德以及具有远大的理想。
Teaching Aims:
(A) Aims on the knowledge
1.Grasp the new words: building, peace, inside , show, all round.
2.Grasp to new sentence patterns: Do you want to?  I want to ? Use the patterns to make sentences.
3.Read the text fluently and correctly.
(B) Aims in abilities
1.To develop the students’ abilities of listening, speaking and reading.
2.To train the students’ abilities of working in groups.
3.To foster the students’ abilities of communication and their innovation.
(C) Aims in emotion
To foster the students’ consciousness of good co-operation and proper competition.
(D) Aims in culture

Step 1: Warming up
1.Greeting: say hello to everybody.
2.Say a chant: where are you from?
Boy, boy, where are you from?
I am from China.
Girl, girl, where are you from?
I am from Japan.
Boy, Boy, where are you from?
I am from England.
Girl, girl, where are you from?
I am from America.
[设计目标:通过chant来复习一些学过国名,不仅营造轻松的环境,而且也为新授课做好铺垫。]
 
Step 2: Leading-in
T: Do you know where is New York?
S: It’s in the America.
T: Great! I like travelling, I want to visit New York. Do you want to visit New York?
S: Yes, we do.
T: Ok, let us look at the picture one, what is it?
S: It’s a tall building.
