标准编号方式

从1997年1月1日起，所有IEC标准均以60000系列描述发行。例如，原 IEC34-1对应现在的IEC 60034-1.

统一版本

目前IEC是其出版发行物的统一翻译。例如，版本号为1.0、1.1、1.2分别参照原始出版物、原始发行合订修正1、原始发行合订修正1与2。

出版物中的深层信息

IEC的技术内容是由IEC持续的回顾修正得以维护的，因此保证了其内容能够真实反映目前的技术。除新版本、修订及勘误之外，包括其有效性在内，有关本标准的信息都可经由出版物（如下）的IEC目录得以访问。

FOREWORD 前言

1) The International Electro-technical Commission (IEC) is a worldwide organization for standardization comprising all national electro-technical committees (IEC National Committees). The object of IEC is to promote international co-operation on all questions concerning standardization in the electrical and electronic fields. To this end and in addition to other activities, IEC publishes International Standards, Technical Specifications, Technical Reports, Publicly Available Specifications (PAS) and Guides (he

reafter referred to as “IEC Publication(s)”). Their preparation is entrusted to technical committees; any IEC National Committee interested in the subject dealt with may participate in this preparatory work. International, governmental and nongovernmental organizations liaising with the IEC also participate in this preparation. IEC collaborates closely with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in accordance with conditions determined by agreement between the two organizations.
