1 Introduction
1.1 Overview
Welcome to Monark Anaerobic Test Software.The Monark Anaerobic Test Software automates and eases the performing of anaerobic tests. With the Monark Anaerobic Test Software results can be stored in the database for later analysis and comparison.
This User Manual describes Monark Anaerobic Test Software 's powerful features and helps to use it
in an efficient and productive way. Happy testing!
Note: If you have a CD-ROM version, this document can also be found from the directory “docs” in the installation CD.
1.2 Features

2 Installation and Setup
2.1 System Requirements
Monark Anaerobic Test Software requires the following software and hardware:•Microsoft Windows 98/2000/XP/Vista or Microsoft NT Workstation 4.0
•Screen resolution of 800*600 or higher (1024*768 is recommended)
•Pentium 150 (Pentium 300 MHz or faster is recommended)

•Printer is optional
2.2 Installing the Software
Install the Monark Anaerobic Test Software with the following procedure:
•Insert Monark Installations&Documents CD-ROM to the appropriate drive •Guide program starts automatically
•Select Anaerobic Test Software from the Installations
•Follow the instructions
In Windows Vista the installation needs to be run with administrator rights. If you plan to use the program in regular user account, you need to set file permissions for database and program directories. See chapter 2.4 for more details.
2.3 Connecting the Monark 894E
Connect the Monark 894E to the computer using the following procedure
●Connect the supplied serial cable between the bike and a free serial(com) port in
your computer
●Launch the Anaerobic Test Software
●Switch on the power on your Monark 894E
●In the 'Settings' – window check that the right COM port is selected. Use
Connection Search to help identify the correct COM port.
Make sure that the selected COM port is free and no other software is using it! When using the Serial to USB converter, make sure that its drivers are working properly.刘谦2010
2.4 Using Anaerobic Test Software in Windows Vista
If you are running the Anaerobic Test Software with regular Vista user account, you need to have file read-write permissions to the database and to the program directory.
The database directory is “C:\Program Files\Common Files\HurDB20”. The program directory is “C:\Program Files\Monark”. Contact your system administrator in order to set the file permissions for your needs.
