Abstract： Based on engineering examples， the definition and calculation requirements of torsional displacement ratio stipulated in the code are introduced. For steel-floor and steel-frame structure， an approach is put forward as regards how to adjust the model to meet the rigid floor assumption through conceptual design， calculate and judge the torsional irregularity of the structure， and finally design the aseismic structure.
