教学设计说明
经过多年的英语学习，五年级学生的认知水平已经在不断提高，抽象逻辑思维和创造思维也有了较大发展，并且对英语有较浓厚的学习兴趣，也有一定的基础。但在这个阶段，学生的英语实际应用能力是非常有限的，这也促使他们十分渴望能用英语解决日常生活中的实际问题，在实践中提高自己的英语水平。所以在教学设计方面，教师要针对其年龄特点以及已有的基础，采用文本再构、创设真实的情境让学生去学习语言，运用语言。还要通过各种有 趣的活动帮助学生将枯燥的语言变得生动而又易于记忆，让学生在感知、体验和参与中获取知识，形成能力。
在学习本单元前，学生已在四年级学习了表示各个房间的英文词汇，如：living room, bedroom等；同时，本单元要学习的单词与学生的实际生活息息相关，如photo, water bottle, bike, plant, clock等; 这样的学习很大程度引起了学生的兴趣，大大丰富了学生日常交流的元素，为日后的学习奠定基础。 单元教学任务分析：

新版PEP五年级英语上册第五单元主题为 There is a big bed，通过围绕“房间”这一话题，创设了各种房间的情景，让学生能够掌握与房间物品有关和表达方位的英语词汇，并能用There be句型对房间的物品摆设和位置进行描述，在创设的情境中联系实际生活，用There be句型正确地描述出某处有某物。 本单元涉及到的与房间物品和方位有关的词汇有：photo, water bottle, bike，plant、clock，
in front of , beside, between, behind，above。而在句型方面，要让学生能够理解There be句型的含义，并且能掌握并运用There be句型进行问答练习，如：—What’s in your bedroom? —There is ..... —Where is the ......? —It’s in front of the ....... —What’s in front —There is .....in
本单元围绕bedroom、room、house、home等情景，先采取Zhang Peng与其他朋友之间的对话形式，对他的房间环境进行介绍、了解，从而贯穿本单元与房间摆设有关的词汇以及句型，最后再采用Zoom和Zip两个人物去在讨论Where is the can’s home?的故事形式，对整个单元的内容进行巩固总结，使学生能够对自己的房间进行描述，掌握如何表述某处有某物，运用某物在某处的There be句型，联系生活，增加其说英语的自信心。长征中面临的困难

2、知识要点介绍
1）能够听、说、读、写photo, water bottle, bike，plant，clock，in front of , beside, between, behind，above这11个词汇。
2）能够掌握及运用There be句型进行回答练习，包括：—What’s in your bedroom? —There is ..... —Where is the ......? —It’s in front of the ....... —What’s in front —There is .....in
3）能够学习并掌握辅音字母组合ai，ay在单词中的发音规律，做到发音准确、到位。
4）通过学习，能够进一步了解房间的摆设及方位的描述，并做到联系实际用There be句型表达某处有某物，以增强说英语的自信心。
