3.2 Appearance
Surface structure and color acc. to original sample.
The material must be fray-proof, i.e., it must not fray or break out at the cut edges during process-ing or in later use.
The latex backing must adhere uniformly to the needle-punched, nonwoven material, must not loosen from the material without damage and must not crumble during driving operation.
The material must not adhere at room temperature or at elevated temperatures.
The material must be flexible in the temperature range from –40 to +90° C and adapt well to the installation position.
3.3 Physiological compatibility
The trim material must be physiologically safe and must not induce skin irritation, for example, or objectionable odors.

3.5 Identification
Acc. to VW 105 40–6.
3.6 Conditioning
Prior to testing, the specimens must be conditioned for at least 24 h in the DIN 50 014 – 23/50–2 standard climate.

3.9.1 Type without index
棘轮棘爪Nonwoven material of 100% PP, spin-dyed, quality 1a; binding using needle-punching and back impregnation; in addition, the nonwoven fabric is coated with a latex foam (waffle backing); the back can, if required in the drawing, include an anti-slip coating acc. to the release.
3.9.2 Type A
Nonwoven material of 100% PP; binding using needle-punching and back impregnation; a binder that is stable in shape is used; the back can, if required in the drawing, include an anti-slip coating acc. to the release; the nonwoven material can be bonded with a mixed-fiber hardened felt card-board acc. to TL 524 13.
3.9.3 Type B
Nonwoven material of 50% PP and 50% PET or alternatively 100% PET; alternatively 70% PET/30% PP; binding using needle-punching and back impregnation; a binder that is stable in shape is used; the back can, if required in the drawing, include an anti-slip coating acc. to the r e-lease; the nonwoven material can be bonded with a mixed-fiber hardened felt cardboard acc. to TL 524 13.
3.9.4 Type C
Nonwoven material of 100% PP; 6.7 dtex, 475 g/m² fiber insert, 200 g/m² binder, flat needle non-woven fabric; binding using needle-punching and back impregnation; the back can, if required in the drawing, include an anti-slip coating acc. to the release; the nonwoven material can be bonded with a mixed-fiber hardened felt cardboard acc. to TL 524 13.
3.9.5 Type D
Nonwoven material of 100% PP; 11 dtex, 450 g/m² fiber insert, 30 g/m² acrylate binder; dilour; the nonwoven material must be used with a substrate that is stable in shape, such as TL 524 22 or TL 524 48, for requirements, see drawing and/or release.
3.9.6 Type E
Nonwoven material of 100% PP; 6.7 dtex, 300 g/m² fiber insert, 80 g/m² binder; dilour; the non-woven material must be used with a substrate that is stable in shape, such as TL 524 22 or TL 524 48; for requirements, see drawing and/or release.

3.9.9 Type H
Nonwoven material of 100% PP; 11 dtex, 450 g/m² fiber insert, 80 g/m² binder; dilour; the non-woven material must be used with a substrate that is stable in shape, such as TL 524 22 or TL 524 48; for requirements, see drawing and/or release.
3.9.10 Type J
Nonwoven material of 100% PP; 6.7 dtex, 400 g/m² fiber insert, 30 g/m² binder; dilour; the non-woven material must be used with a substrate that is stable in shape, such as TL 524 22 or TL 524 48; for requirements, see drawing and/or release.
3.9.11 Type K
Nonwoven material of 100% PP; 6.7 dtex, 300 g/m² fiber insert, no binder; flat needle nonwoven fabric; the nonwoven material must be used with a substrate that is stable in shape, such as TL 524 22 or TL 524 48; for requirements, see drawing and/or release.
3.9.12 Type L
Nonwoven material of 100% PET; approx. 30 % 6.7 dtex/70 % 11 to 13 dtex; 400 g/m² fiber insert; 200 g/m² SBR binder; smooth needle nonwoven fabric; the nonwoven material must be used with a substrate that is stable in shape; for requirements, see drawing and/or release.
3.9.13 Type M
Nonwoven material of 100% PP (as for type J); dilour; sheared; 6.7 dtex; 400 g/m² fiber insert; 200 g/m² SBR binder; 120 g/m² PE and 80 g/m² nonwoven cover. When this material is used with a substrate with a stable shape, the requirements in the drawing and/or release apply.
