无纺布生产用纤维主要是丙纶（PP）、涤纶（PET）。此外，还有锦纶（PA）、粘胶纤维、腈纶、乙纶（HDPE）、氯纶（PVC）。按应用要求，无纺布分为一次性应用型和耐用型两大类。

热粘合工艺分为热轧和热风。是指在纤网中加入纤维状或粉状热熔粘合加固材料，纤网再经过加热熔融冷却加固成布。 Thermal bonded process is divided into hot rolling and hot air. It refers to adding fibrous or powdery hot-melt bonded reinforcing materials into the web, which is then strengthened by heating, melting and cooling.
热风无纺布，是热风粘合（热轧、热风）无纺布中的一种，热风无纺是在纤维梳理成后，利用烘燥设备上的热风穿透纤网，使之受热而得以粘合生成的无纺布。
