摘要：PURPOSE:To perform perfect washing and to reduce energy loss, by a method wherein a jet stream generating apparatus for emitting a jet stream in a whirled state is provided under the water level in a precipitation tank and a precipitation apparatus is washed by said jet stream. CONSTITUTION:A jet stream generating tank 1 and a moving apparatus 11 consisting of a rail 5, a truck 6 and an elevator apparatus 10 for raising, lowering and moving said apparatus 14 is arranged to the upper part of the precipitation tank 1. In order to wash the inclined plates 4 of the precipitation apparatus 3 in the precipitation tank 1, the motor 7 of the elevator apparatus 10 is driven to raise and lower the jet stream generating apparatus 14 while the truck 6 is moved on the rail 5 and the jet stream generating apparatus 14 is positioned at a proper position outside the raw water inflow end part of the precipitation apparatus 3. Subsequently, the motor 15 of the jet stream generating apparatus 14 is driven to rotate fan 16 and the jet stream is flowed toward the inclined plates 4 in a wirled state to wash off sludge accumulated on each inclined plate 4. The direction of the fan 16 is set by changing the position of a rope 9 clamped to the small orifice of an inclination adjusting plate 13.
