摘要：PURPOSE:To utilize efficiently geothermal energy by using synthetic and decomposing reactions of methanol, and converting the geothermal energy into chemical energy which is carried up to ground level and used. CONSTITUTION:A reactor 2 consists of a shell 8 of the reactor and an internal reaction vessel 10 having a fixed catalyst bed 9. An inner transport pipe 11 communicated with a distributing valve 5 reaches the bottom of the internal reaction vessel 10, and is used for supplying methanol preheated by the geothermal energy to the bottom of the fixed catalyst bed 9 in the internal reaction vessel 10. The upper part of the internal reaction vessel 10 is communicated with an outer transport pipe 12 for sending the reaction product, CO and H2, above ground. The inner transport pipe is surrounded with the outer transport pipe 12 to form a double-pipe structure. In addition, a heat pipe 13 is provided in the internal reaction vessel 10 concentrically and in parallel with the inner tube 11, and is filled with a heating medium such as ''Dowtherm'' along with a space 14 between the shell 8 and the internal reaction vessel 10.
