Purpose
To provide general guidance and information for the production of accurate and reliable test results and provide guidelines on how to conduct the tests in a safe and efficient manner.
These guidelines are split in to four sections:
Part 1.    General Guidelines虚拟现实系统
Part 2.    Colour Fastness
Part 3.    Physical Testing
Part 4.    Service and Calibration
All the following information is given in good faith and no responsibility or liability can be accepted either by adidas Group or adidas Group accreditation partner, Intertek Group for any loss or damage arising from its use or misuse.

General Guidelines for Textile
Testing Laboratories
Part 1
General Information
Chemicals
Industrial grade chemicals can contain impurities. Therefore it is recommended that the minimum grade used for the colour fastness testing is GPR (General Purpose Reagent) grade.
Ampules/Convol solutions can be used. Where these require dilution the manufacturer ’s instructions should be carefully adhered to. However it is recommended that Analytical Volumetric Solutions (AVS) are used in preference to Convol since these solutions are already prepared for use.
Water
All test solutions should be prepared using distilled or de-ionised water (Grade 3). This grade of water is suitable for most wet chemistry work and preparation of reagents solutions for textile testing.
The purity of the water is specified by its electrical conductivity. This can only be measured at the point of production and should be 0.5 micro-siemens or less.
The pH of this water is between 5.5 and 7.5. A wide tolerance is allowed because of the readiness with which water absorbs carbon dioxide from the atmosphere each day.
If water is purchased for laboratory use, ensure that it is of the correct quality and is kept in inert, clean, air tight containers.
pH Meters
All pH meters must be calibrated regularly according to the manufacturers instructions and be accurate to 0.01 decimal place.

Balances
Balances used for chemical and specimen weighing must be accurate to ± 0.01g.
Ensure all balances are sited in draught free areas, which are clean and free from any possible causes of contamination.
Also before use ensure the balance is level by centralising the air bubble in the spirit level.
Periodically the balance readings must be checked using a set of calibrated check weights of various
weights, eg. 1g, 5g, 25g, 50g 100g.
Thermometers
Mercury or spirit filled thermometers should have a range of -10°C to 110°C in 1.0°C graduations. When a specific temperature is required for a test always confirm the temperature with either a mercury/spirit filled thermometer or with a digital thermocouple. Do not always rely on the thermostat of a machine eg. Washwheel
Where mercury filled thermometers are used, ensure the laboratory has a suitable spillage kit in case of any breakages. Mercury is very toxic and should not be handled. It should be disposed of safely in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines. Under no circumstances, pour into the drainage system.
Timers
agps
Calibrated digital timers must be used on all occasions.
Measuring Apparatus
All measuring apparatus must be appropriate to the volume being measured.  It is more accurate to use one large volume rather than a number of small volumes.
All measuring apparatus must be rinsed with the solution to be measured, prior to measuring the correct required volume.
Measuring cylinders must be either glass or transparent plastic. These must be clean and free from any chips or cracks.

General Guidelines for Textile
Testing Laboratories
Volumetric flasks should be of the glass type, A or B quality and must be clean and free from any chips or cracks
Pipettes should either be graduated or the blow out bulb type. Ensure they are clean and free from any chips or cracks especially at the tip of the pipette.
Pipette fillers must be used at all times. No pipettes should be filled by mouth.
Burettes must always be used for titration purposes. The burette must be clean and free from any chips or cracks especially at the tip of the burette. Ensure the burette has a tap that is free from any leaks and is smooth to turn.
Control of Substances Hazardous to Health
Those methods using chemicals known to be toxic, harmful or corrosive must have warnings on the label of the container.
Technicians handling such chemicals must be given proper instructions on the safety precautions necessary to carry out the test. They must be made aware of the hazards and the risks involved when using them, particularly if spilt, inhaled, ingested or if in contact with the skin.
Safety eye wash bottles must be located in a suitable area.
Protective clothing such as a laboratory coat, safety glasses and gloves should be worn as appropriate.
Toxic chemicals should be disposed of safely. They should not be poured into the drainage system. (Chemicals used in the chlorinated water test can be disposed of into the drainage system but must be thoroughly rinsed away)
All chemicals must be stored in suitable areas according to the manufacturer ’s recommendations. Health and safety data sheets should be available from the supplier/manufacturer of the chemicals and kept for reference.

Housekeeping and Cleanliness
太空风洞
All glassware can be washed and rinsed in tap water after use and left to dry. Glassware must be rinsed in distilled/de-ionised water before use.
The dry cleaning wash pots should be kept separately from the other wet tests and should not be rinsed in water.  Any colour contamination should be removed with a small amount of dry cleaning fluid.
Evaporate dry cleaning fluids off in the fume cabinet for a minimum of 30 minutes.
Drying areas should be cleaned every week.
Work areas should be wiped and kept clean网络墓地
Multi-fibre and cotton lawn must be stored in containers to keep them clean.
All chemicals must be stored in labelled containers.
