摘要：PURPOSE:To highly accurately control both tape speed and tension in a head position at a target value by calculating and recognizing the tape transfer speed of a head part highly accurately from the tape speed or the tension in both or either of reel positions. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic tape 1 is transferred by reels 4 and 5 driven by motors 6 and 7 and passes through a magnetic head at a prescribed speed. Minute tachometers 8 and 9 are provided for the motors 6 and 7 and a rotational quantity pulse, together with tape tension data from a tension sensor 3, is inputted to a digital controller 10. A computing element 16 uses a measured value from an input port 20, a mechanism characteristic constant in a ROM 18 and a control parameter in a RAM 17, determines motor current command values i1 and i2 whose target is the speed and the tension of the tape 1 to pass through the head 2 and outputs them from an output port 19 to the motors 6 and 7 through a D/A converters 11 and 12 and power amplifiers 14 and 15.
