污水污泥是城市排水系统的副产品,主要产生于排水管道、泵站和污水处理厂的污泥。由于其容积大、恶臭味、可能含有有毒有害物质及病原菌等,若不经有效处理和处置,会对环境造成严重的二次污染。为此,国内外的立法机构越来越重视污泥治理问题,禁止将污泥直接倾倒入海或填埋含有奇特有机物的污泥,以防止进入食物链。
污泥的处置技术包括传统的浓缩、消化、自然干化、机械脱水、消毒等,以及卫生填埋、堆肥处理、热干化和焚烧处理等新技术。卫生填埋基本属于厌氧性填埋,但在初期填埋的污泥表层及排水排气管路附近,由于空气的接触扩散形成局部的准好氧填埋方式。堆肥处理利用嗜温菌、嗜热菌的作用,分解污泥中有机质并杀死致病菌、寄生虫卵和病毒,制成有机复合肥或有机菌肥以提高其利用价值。热干化与焚烧处理可以达到彻底的无害化和减量化效果,但需要经过干化的污泥才能进行燃烧。
在市政污水污泥的处理方案中,脱水处理是必须的。传统的人工自然干化场已逐渐被机械脱水方式所取代,其中带式脱水机和离心脱水机更为常用。但市政污泥的无机成分含量高、含水率偏低且杂质较多,选用脱水设备时必须考虑污泥对设备造成的损害,如带式脱水机的滤
布较易磨损。
最后,污水污泥的处置需要综合考虑技术、经济、环境等因素,选择合适的处理方案才能达到最佳效果。
