当时只见从草丛后面走出七八只老虎，它们缓缓地向小牛走去。一只老虎首先对自己的食物发起攻击，只见它腾空一跃，将小牛扑倒在地。本想小牛就要一命呜呼了，谁知小牛突然用头一顶，老虎却松开了利爪，反而退后了两步，其余的几只也仅仅是傻乎乎地在一旁观战。小牛却继续向那只老虎进攻且越战越勇。 不一会儿，那只被小牛追逐的森林之王怯懦地哼叫着向同伙求救。一只不行，一起上!老虎们围着小牛不停地转，但一次次的攻击都以失败告终。它们不得不灰溜溜地躲到草丛后面。
此时很多人哄堂大笑。我想这笑声中有两种意思：一是“初生牛犊不怕虎”，敢于跟兽中之王决斗，为小牛喝彩，它的精神值得我们学习;二是说动物园每天都按时给老虎送食物，老虎渐渐地变懒了，失去了自己本应有的野性，丧失了觅食的才能，不再适应竞争剧烈的现实了。 在21世纪的今天，假设想比别人优秀，比别人的奉献更突出，就必须努力。因为竞争是
残酷的，假设你不努力，那你将成为那动物园中的老虎，渐渐地丧失自己的锐利及搏杀才能。
