DESCRIPTION The CP2101 is a single chip USB to UART bridge solution.It includes a USB 2.0 Full-Speed function controller,EEPROM, buffer, and asynchronous serial data bus with modem interface signals (suitable for RS-232 protocol). It has an integrated internal oscillator and USB Transceiver, so no other external USB circuit components are required (see example circuit below). With the available royalty free device drivers from Cygnal, the CP2101 can easily be used to implement a virtual COM port.
