BEM-based TV Channel Estimation and Equalization

Abstract: Regarding to the time-varying channel in wireless mobile communication system, we’ll detailed descript the Basis Expansion Model (BEM). We using TDS-OFDM signal transmission, least squares (LS) and linear minimum mean square error estimation to estimate the channel parameters and corresponding equalization algorithm. The simulation results show that taking BEM-based channel estimation algorithm and corresponding equalization algorithm can significantly improve the system’s bit error rate, compared with PN sequence autocorrelation and linear interpolation equalization algorithm, based on BEM and fixed BEM have lower error rate.
