[abstract] because of high strength,high modulus rate and excellent mechanical perf ormance, the magnesium alloy has receivedwide recognition in many industries. however, its application fields were restricted by the defects of its high chemical activity and poor corrosion resistance. so the preventive disposing on the surface of magnesium alloy is very important. in this paper,the present commonsurface technologies used for improving corrosion resistance of magnesium alloy at home and abroad are introduced. the application prospectof magnesium alloy is discussed also.
