■ What is the Collective Quality Certification System for Indoor Air Clearner (CA Mark)?
The mark is granted to the products which pass strict tests by
certified test agencies in accordance with collective standards
for indoor air clearner including dust collection efficiency,
deodorization efficiency, noise, coverage and ozone
concentration to provide reliable indoor air cleaners by the
Korea Air Cleaning Association. You do not have worry about
buying products with CA mark.
■ Background of CA Mark Certification Project
Most air cleaner manufacturers produced and released their products without certification from authorized test agencies for performance. That is why customers keep having complaints about performance of the air cleaners, causing chronic problems in spreading the products.
To this end, the Korea Air Cleaner Association strictly perform quality tests on products based on collective standards for air cleaners to grant collective quality certification (CA) to reliable products for customers, change customer sentiment toward the cleaners and expand the market. Also, it is aimed at protecting customers and contributing to quality upgrade by autonomously performing quality management.
■ CA Mark Certification Procedure
[Fig. 1] CA Mark Certification Procedure
① Apply and register CA qualification test (company > association)
② Check application registration and perform site inspection on companies (company > association)
option60
③ Assign quality test evaluation to designated test agencies (national research institutes) (association > test agency)
④ Notify results of quality test evaluation (test agency > association)
⑤ Hold review committee on the CA certification mark
⑥ Issue CA report by the Korea Air Cleaner Association (association > company)
⑦ Apply for issuing CA certification and its certificate
⑧ Issue the CA certification, certificate and perform post-management
■ Test Method
■ Collective Standards for Testing Indoor Air Cleaner(SPS-KACA002-132)
The performance test of indoor air cleaner is performed in a place with no wind and ambient temperature of 23±5°C and ambient pressure of 760±20mmHg.
- The air volume test is performed by setting the air cleaner under rating frequency and voltage and in accordance with the appendix 1 of the KS C 9304.
- The noise test is performed by measuring the noise from operation with rating air volume under rating frequency and voltage while setting up the cleaner on a support with no air vibration and echo in the anechoic room with the noise meter under KS C 1502 or KS C 1505 in accordance with the KS A ISO 1996-1, KS A ISO 1996-2 and KS A ISO 1996-3 using the feature A of audible calibration circuit. However, the measurement shall be performed with no influence from wind on the wind outlet of the cleaner.
- The fine dust removal (dust collection test is calculated with equations by alternatively measuring particle concentration at upstream and downstream after checking that the particle concentration become stabilized through passing rating air volume from test material on the duct for test.

b) Relative humidity: 55±15%led镜前灯
c) Fine dust and gas concentration: Below indoor environment standards in the public sanitation law
The tested gases are ammonia (NH3), toluene (C6H5CH3) and formaldehyde (HCHO). Prepared specimen is installed in the center of the test chamber for measurement and the toxic gas removal rate is calculated using equations.
