英语语法词汇详解almost 用法及区别

almost副词，几乎、差不多

例He slipped and almost fell. 他滑了一下，险些摔倒。

【辨析】almost与nearly

二者都是副词，在肯定句中常可换用。区别如下：

①nearly一般不用来修饰否定词：never, no，none，nothing, nobody，nowhere, too，more than等。一般用almost或者hardly

+ever/anybody. 例如

almost never ( nearly never❎，换成hardly ever行)

She almost never cleans her room. 她几乎从不打扫房间。

She hardly ever cleans her room.

almost anything（hardly anything）

They’ll eat almost anything. 他们几乎什么都吃。

They’ll eat hardly anything.

（助记点：almost与一些不定代词搭配使用，而nearly不行）

② nearly可与not连用，但almost不可。

not nearly意为“一点也不，远非”。例

He’s not nearly as good-looking as his brother. 他远不如他哥哥长得好看。

【辨析】

1）It’s all right. ①别怕/没事的。②没关系的

2）That's all right. ①用于对别人表示感谢的答语，“不用谢/不客气”。相当于That”s OK./Not at all./You”re welcome.

-Thanks a lot.

-That's all right.

②用于别人向你道歉时的答语,意思是“没关系”,相当于Never mind /It

doesn”t matter.如：

-I”m sorry,I”m late.

-That”s all right.

③ 用于对对方某一情况表示“没问题”,“行了”或“可以了”.如：

-Can I see your licence,please?

- you are.

-That”s all you.

3）That”s right.是同意对方的观点或看法时的常用语,意思是“对”,“正确”.如：

-What”s four and six?

-It”s ten.
