《红岩》的英语书评

After closing the 594-page book, I gawked at the view, perhaps

because my eyes weren't used to reading for so long, maybe it was

because I had just finished a long, long, long war movie in my mind.

"Red Rock," a book with no preface, no introduction to the author,

suddenly led me straight into the world between 1949 and 1950, and

tells the story of a group of outstanding Communist Party members

who are willing to die for their country, it's the people outside the top

leadership, like Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai, who are not easily

remembered, at least in today's society, if not for reading about it, it's

hard to know who these people are or what they've been through.

Almost everyone in this book has a prototype, based on real events,

but their spirit and struggle are as indelible as reality. There are Xu

Yunfeng, Yu Xinjiang, Jiang Xueqin, Cheng Gang, Cheng Yao, Li Qingzhu,

Sun Mingxia, Liu Siyang, Chen Songlin, Huawei, old woman with two

guns, Hua Ziliang, Li Jingyuan, Song Zhenzhong, Long Guanghua, Ding

Changfa, Qi Xiaoxuan, lao Yuan and other soldiers. They regard the

country as a lover and the party as a writer. They truly love the party

and the country and regard the country as all the glory.

I have been reading this book for a long time, but I can not finish it.

The book is rich in content and has many characters. Today, I finally

finished it, and finally ended the war, i read in the book that the People's

Liberation Army went down south at top speed, and watched them step

by step as they came down, from Shimokawa to Chongqing, but I still

felt that they were too slow, and I really felt the length of time in prison,

it was even more painful to be occasionally picked up and maimed. In

the end they lost some of their elite. I knew they were willing and

honorable. I knew the communists were moving south fast enough, still,

it was a pity that the soldiers were mutilated. They could not see the

victory coming.

In those days, comrades in arms were bound together by the bonds

of war and suffering and by a passion for their country, a passion for

one another, a passion for victory and hope. In the pit of scum, I was

struck by the fact that we never feared the unity of any enemy and

terrorized him in the lion's den, even if he killed him, i was deeply

moved by the spirit of entrusting my life to the party. This is the

legendary Chinese spirit, the strength of China, the backbone of China

that will never fall. So what if you get angry again? So what if you

The Kuomintang's defeat is the absolute end. In the book, you can

actually see at a glance that the comparison between the Kuomintang

and the Communist Party is very huge. First of all, the situation was

already a favorable situation for the Communist Party. The Kuomintang

was at a dead end. Although the Kuomintang allied with the United

States against the Communist Party, but it's not gonna change anything.

The second is the way they treat the people. Although the KMT has

delayed the peace talks, in fact they treat the people as dirt. For

example, Xu Pengfei's treatment of the people is absolutely obvious. He

believes that as long as there are U.S. dollars, the country will change

color, they really looked down on the people, so it was a fiasco. The

third is the use of personnel. One by one, members of the Communist

The second is Jiang Xueqin, Jiang Zhuyun, who has also been a

patriot all her life. When she writes about her husband's death and his

head hanging high, the woman is shocked, how much she looks

forward to being reunited with her husband, and when she meets

Huawei's mother, finally, she cried like a weak woman. The loss of a

loved one, of course, would do great harm to her, but the woman finally

stood up, like the mother of Huawei, and stood straight ahead, even if

she was arrested and tortured, she didn't say anything either. I watched

as her hands were skewered and her body whipped. I could almost see

the dazed look in her eyes. I could see her dull gray eyes, but she would

not bow her head obstinately, and she did not regret her wounds.

Perhaps she thought of her husband, Lao Peng, her son, who was not

yet three years old, at the time of her execution, and perhaps she

smiled, not with a miserable smile, but with a kind of rapture at the

thought of tomorrow when the soldiers and horses of the National

Communist Party were about to be shot down, the enemy in front of me

is really nothing. At last she was dragged back to her cell by the enemy.

She was determined to walk on her own. Her legs were limp and her

face was as white as paper. This is where she belongs. Finally she had to
