双重所有格使用及练习

He is my sister's teacher.他是我的老师。

用了's所有格，突出了’s后面的teacher,侧重说明他和我的师生关系，而不是别的关系。

He is a teacher of my sister.他是我的老师

用了of所有格，突出了of后面的my sister，侧重说明他是我的老师，即强调是我的老师，不是别人的。

He is a teacher of my sister's 他是我的老师当中的一个。

用了's和of所有格，即双重所有格，my sister's等于my sister's

teachers,侧重说明of左边的名词是of右边名词的部分，他是我众多老师之中的一个老师，我的老师不止一个，他仅是其中之一而已。

Miss Gao is Mary's friend. 高小是玛丽的朋友。

用了's所有格，突出了’s后面的friend一词，侧重说明高小和玛丽之间是朋友关系。

Miss Gao is a friend of Mary. 高小是玛丽的朋友。

用了of所有格，突出了of后面的Mary,高小是属于Mary的朋友，不是别人的朋友。

Miss Gao is a friend of Mary's. 高小是玛丽朋友中的一个。

用了双重所有格，Mary's后面省略掉了friends，侧重说明of左边的名词a frend是of右边的名词Mary's friends的部分，即玛丽的朋友不止一个，高小仅是其中之一。

我的两位朋友今天来看我了。

two friends came to see me today.

物主代词My和数词two不能连用。所以这句是错的，要用of所有格。

friends of me came to see me today.

强调了这两个朋友属于我，不属于别人。

"我的两个朋友今天来看我了。"

friends of mime came to see mee today.

暗指“我从多朋友中的两个”。

“我朋友中的两个今天来看我了。”

汤姆是她的孩子。

强调两者的关系：

Tom is her child.

强调是她的，不是别人的。

Tom is child of her.

强调汤姆只是她孩子中的一个。

Tom is a child of hers.

这种“限定词+名词+of+名词的's所有格/名物代”结构叫做双重所有格结构。

其中限定词通常有四重：

1.不定冠词（a,an）

2.数词（two,）

3.指示代词(this,that,these,those)

4.

双重所有格结构的意义：

1.表示部分。如：a friend of my brother's

(我兄弟众多朋友中的一个)

some classmates of theirs

(他们众多同学中的一些)

of前的名词只是部分；of后面代表的名词才是整体。

他的那些同学很喜欢他。（强调他众多朋友中的那些朋友。）

Those classmates of his like him very much.(不强调部分，指全部)

His those classmates like him very much.（错）

Those classmates of him like him very much.

Three classmates of my brother's have found good jobs.

我哥哥同学中的三个已经到了好工作。

Have you read any stories of Lei Feng's？

你读过雷锋故事中的哪些了吗？

They gave me some books of theirs.

他们把他们书中的一些给了我。

She is a friend of theirs.

他是他们众多朋友之一。（可知他们还有其它朋友）

不定代词（some,any,several,no,each,every,such,）

She is their friend.

她是他们的朋友。（无法推知他们是否还有其他朋友）

2.暗含赞赏、厌恶等褒贬感情彩。如：

that lovely child of your sister's

你的那个可爱的孩子（暗含赞赏）.

that bright eyes of Lucy's

露西那双明亮的眼睛（暗含赞赏）.

区别：

that English bok of your brother's

(暗含喜爱那本书)

the English book of your brother

无情感彩，只表示所属关系。

That answer of Tome's was not right.

汤姆的那个回答是不对的。（暗含批评或者不满）

Something is wrong with this hand of mine.我的这只手出了毛病。（暗含厌恶或不满）

That little daughter of your brother's is really a dear.

你哥的那个小女儿真逗人爱。（暗含喜爱、赞许）

3.有些词不能同时放在名词前面作为定语，双重所有格可以代替这些词把意思正确的表达出来。

(1)-'s所有格/形物代不能与基数词()一起放在名词前同时作定语。

我的三个朋友。

My three friends(错)

应改成：three friends of mine

(2)-’s所有格/形物代不能与不定代词(some,any,several,no,each,every,such,another,which)等一起放在名词前同时作定语。

汤姆的各个兄弟

Tom's each brother(错)

应改成：each brother of Tome's

(3)-'s所有格/形物代不能与指示代词(this,that,these,those)一起放在名词前同时作定语。

露西的那个帽子

Lucy's that hat(错)

应改成：that hat of Lucy's

(4)-'s所有格或形物代不可与冠词(a,an)一起放在名词前共同做定语。

我的一只狗狗

my a dog(错)

应改成：a dog of mine

注：双重所有格中的a,an不能换成one.即不能说成one dog of

mine

双重所有格使用中的注意事项

1.所有格中如果of前面的名词是picture,photo,printing,statue,portrait,photograph等词时，双重所有格与of所有格表达的意义不一样。

Are there any photos of Ken in the photos of yours?

在你的照片中有肯的照片吗？

any photos of Ken 指照片中的人是肯本人

the photos of yours 指你所收藏的照片

This is a portrait of Mr. White's.

这是怀特先生收藏画像中的一副。

This is a photrait of Mr. White.

这是一副怀特先生本人的画像。

This is a picture of my mother's.

这是我母亲收藏的照片中的一张。

This is a picture of my mother.

这是我母亲的一张照片。

2.使用双重所有格要瞻前顾后

瞻前

(1)of 前面的名词不通用是专有名词或独一无二的名词，如a

father of Mary's(错)，可改用单纯的-'s所有格，Mary's father。

(2)of 前面的限定词不能是定冠词the或者one。

the friend of his(错)

that friend of his （对）

one friend of mine （错）

a friend of mine（对）

我的一个朋友

which child of theirs

他们的哪一个孩子（表疑问）

顾后

(1)双重所有格中带-'s的名词应是确指的

a brother of a friend's(错) a friend非确指

a friend of my friend's(对) my friend确指

(2)双重所有格中带-'s的名词通常不能是无生名

a window of the room's(错)

a window of the room (对)

a friend of mine(对)

非生命的名词表示所属，单纯用到of所有格就够了，用不到双重所有格。
