the reform of ideological and political education in higher vocational colleges in
the new era, which plays a very important role in cultivating high-quality talents
in socialist construction. Facing the development situation of various vocational
education, it is difficult for higher vocational colleges to implement curriculum
ideological and political construction. According to the instructions of the CPC
Central Committee on the current ideological and political work in the new era,
based on the thinking of the cooperative education mechanism between ideological
and political courses and English courses in higher vocational colleges, this paper
preliminarily studies the teaching reform strategies of English “course ideological
and political education” in higher vocational colleges under the cooperative
education mechanism, so as to provide reference for relevant ds: Higher Vocational English; Collaborative Education; Ideological and

It is an inevitable trend for the continuous innovation and scientific
development of the teaching mode of ideological and political education in higher
vocational colleges in China to transform the ideological and political course to
the teaching mode of professional courses. The establishment of English courses

A Research on the Teaching Reform of English “Course Ideological and Political
Education” in Higher Vocational Colleges Based on Cooperative Education Mechanismin higher vocational colleges is a new mode of teaching management in higher
vocational colleges, which takes moral education and self-cultivation as the guiding
principle of cultural teaching, and takes the development and promotion of cultural
education theory and practice with socialism with characteristics as the core value
concept as the main line of teaching. It plays the role of cultural teaching in higher
vocational English classroom in the current promotion of ideological and theoretical
political education in higher vocational colleges, excavates the ideological and
political function of higher vocational English curriculum, and forms the classroom
teaching management function of higher vocational English curriculum. It forms
the ideological and theoretical political education of higher vocational students
that combines the ideological and political education of higher vocational students
with higher vocational and technical education, and promotes the “tripod” of
higher vocational teaching management. In the process of “curriculum ideological
and political education”, “curriculum ideological and political education” is the
synchronous and cooperative education. It can give full play to the function of
English curriculum education, explore how to better coordinate the interaction
between courses, expand the connotation, space and dimension of ideological and
political education, and integrate the teaching of ideological and political work
throughout the whole process of education. It can also promote the improvement
of students’ vocational skills and comprehensive quality, which is conducive to the
cultivation and comprehensive development of high-quality talents.2. The Basis of Integrating Higher Vocational English Teaching into
Ideological and Political Education
In the training of professional talents in higher vocational colleges, the
comprehensive learning of students’ relevant professional knowledge and the
comprehensive training of students’ professional skills have always occupied
an important dominant position, and the comprehensive training of students’
professional comprehensive ability quality and students’ humanistic and cultural
quality is obviously insufficient. The main content of ideological and political
theory education is concentrated in the two-course theoretical teaching and party
affairs education activities, and the education form is relatively single. In addition,
vocational English is just a tool language, and many students do not pay enough
attention to English. At the same time, some ordinary higher vocational colleges
have reduced the teaching hours of English in ordinary vocational colleges
by increasing a large number of professional courses in the curriculum.

also clearly states: “English is
an important tool for learning cultural science knowledge, acquiring knowledge
from all aspects of the world, and conducting international exchanges.” It can
be seen that in addition to the basic characteristics of teaching tools, higher

literature and ideology. In professional skills and applied higher vocational
education, the comprehensive ideology of English related disciplines is still in
a prominent dominant position. Therefore, higher vocational education should
pay special attention to the cultivation of English ideological and moral quality
and comprehensive ideological ability. In the teaching reform of “curriculum
ideological and political education”, it is necessary and effective to integrate
students’ ideological and political moral education teaching activities into higher
vocational English teaching reform. If higher vocational colleges want to speed
up the reform of the ideological and political theory education system of English
course and combine the ideological and political theory education of the Party with
English classroom organically, they must organize and carry out the ideological and
political theory education of the Party appropriately and reasonably while teaching
English basic knowledge. Without turning English class into ideological and
political course, ideological and political education should be carried out subtly.
The construction of a team of English teachers with strong moral consciousness
and moral ability has become the basis of the reform of “curriculum ideological
politics”. Teachers are always the practical subjects of teaching and educating, and
they are the first person and responsible person in school classroom teaching. A
qualified English teacher team with high ideological and political quality will be
a strong guarantee for higher vocational colleges to carry out English courses and
students’ ideological and political quality education. It is imperative to improve
the awareness of political and moral education of in-service teachers, cultivate
and continuously improve the ability of political and moral literacy of in-service
teachers, and gradually develop the moral awareness of active participation in
research in daily teaching.3. Strategies for the Teaching Reform of “Ideological and Political
Course” in Higher Vocational English Based on Collaborative
Education Mechanism(1) Clearing teaching objectivesWhile strictly following the requirements of the national English curriculum
teaching standards, teachers should fully and deeply excavate the rich connotation
of ideological and political moral education, collect moral education materials
closely related to English teaching content, and organically combine Chinese
excellent traditional culture with the core idea of Chinese socialism. In the teaching
design of English course in higher vocational colleges, teachers not only need to
specify the training objectives of English knowledge and comprehensive ability,
but also add a clear goal of students’ moral education in English teaching plan.
Only in this way can the ideological and political theory education curriculum truly

implemented, so as to realize the effective unification of English curriculum
teaching knowledge system and value concept guidance. In terms of higher
vocational English curriculum, the basic connotation of ideological and political
education mainly includes the following two points:Firstly, it is necessary to cultivate the ability of ordinary vocational college
students to distinguish between right and wrong, and to learn the essence of
knowledge. Under the great pressure of globalization of the world economy, a
large number of information technology resources flow rapidly and appear one
by one. Some network media information is difficult to accurately distinguish
between true and false. Higher vocational students have weak ability to distinguish
between true and false, and their understanding of real things is easy to be on the
surface of emotion. As a full-time English teacher, it is necessary to teach students
the independent thinking ability that can distinguish right from wrong, help them
correctly analyze good and bad, give full play to the guiding role of English
moral education in English curriculum, avoid students’ worship of foreign things,
and enhance the Chinese nationalist spirit and Chinese national consciousness
of students in higher vocational colleges. In the actual classroom teaching,
English teachers can guide and cultivate all students to discover China’s excellent
traditional moral culture, cultivate all students’ core values, view of life and view
of world by carefully reading English-related teaching materials and audio-visual
materials, give play to the demonstration and guiding role of English teaching
quality education, carry forward the excellent traditional culture of our party and
the Chinese nation, and improve students’ core ly, to determine the development goals of students, teachers also need
to investigate deeply the majority of students’ physical and mental health status,
concern about social reality education, current affairs education hot spots and other
factors. Only by paying full and in-depth attention to the higher vocational English
learning problems most urgently concerned by higher vocational English students
in China, can they greatly improve their interest in higher vocational English
and attract their attention to higher vocational English learning, so as to infiltrate
ideological and political education invisibly, give full play to the ideological and
political education implied in higher vocational English curriculum, and achieve
the ultimate goal of English curriculum.(2) Improving the comprehensive level of curriculum ideological and political
education of higher vocational teachersTeachers’ political awareness should be improved and changed from
specialization to popularity. Teachers are the main body of cooperative education.
In order to achieve good educational effect, first of all, higher vocational colleges

all, it is necessary to improve teachers’ ideological and political consciousness,
cultivate teachers’ political literacy. Higher vocational colleges should put
teachers’ ideological and political work in a prominent position, improve the whole
ideological and political education mechanism, and realize the transformation of
ideological and political education from specialization to popularity. Therefore,
teachers should be trained regularly to truly understand the relevant theoretical
knowledge of ideological and political education, understand the development
of the country, and make ideological and political education more convenient in
the classroom. Secondly, colleges and universities should strengthen teachers’
awareness of cooperation, cooperate in educating people, highlight the effect of
cooperation, build a collaborative integration mechanism between ideological and
political teachers in colleges and universities and other teachers, and carry out
ideological and political education with disciplinary characteristics in combination
with professional characteristics. Finally, in the teaching process, teachers must
have a general awareness and long-term vision to achieve holistic education and
truly apply the collaborative education model in place.(3) Excavating educational resources in English curriculumHaving a scientific system of ideological and political resources is the
fundamental core for schools to carry out ideological and political education. To
give full play to the mutual synergy between English and ideological politics,
it is necessary to continuously optimize English curriculum, enrich English
teaching content, improve English teaching curriculum design, and innovate
English teaching mode. In English classroom teaching, according to the teaching
objectives of talent training, the ideological and political contents needed in
English curriculum should be comprehensively sorted out, and the ideological and
political resources should be fully integrated and applied to it, and students should
be educated in combination with the value orientation of vocational education.
Higher vocational colleges also should give full play to the role of leading,
demonstration and education of Marxism, and build a platform for ideological and
political teachers and English teachers to communicate with and instruct each other.
English teachers also need to master the excellent ideological and political quality,
ideological strength and teaching theory and skills in political quality education,
so as to excavate and cultivate students’ ideological and political teaching ability.
In this way, the teaching goal of improving students’ political ideological strength
and political consciousness in the process of English education and teaching can be
achieved.10

English, teachers should consciously excavate the connotation of English moral
education in English curriculum, and actively integrate it into all aspects of
promoting English teaching curriculum design, so as to achieve the educational goal
of cultivating students’ ideological and political consciousness. English teachers
should firmly grasp the ideological and political education of students in English
classroom so as to broaden students’ international vision, help them establish
positive ideals and beliefs and promote their all-round and healthy nces
