CONSTITUTION:A metallic mold having an appropriate shape ischarged with sodium chloride particles selected to have a particle size of particles are heated to a predetermined temperature together with the mold toobtain a fired body in which gaps between the particles are connected with each other toform a series of minute gaps opened to the outside surface in a total volume of 40-80%of the volume of the entire body. A melt of aluminumor zinc is poured into the heatedmold under pressure to infiltrate the molten metal into the minute gaps, followed bycooling. The lump form body consisting of the metal and the sodium chloride particles isdemolded, and is finished by cutting into a predetermined flat plate form 1 or a rollform. The body thus obtained is entirely washed to sequentially dissolve away thecontiguous sodium chloride particles, starting from the outer ones, whereby open poresare formed. The body thus obtained is impregnated with an ink to obtain an article.
