Instructions:

1. Begin by cutting a rectangular shape out of the construction

paper. The size can vary depending on your preference, but a

common size is around 2 inches by 6 inches.

2. Use the scissors to round the corners of the rectangle, giving it a

softer look.

3. Cut out smaller shapes from different colored construction paper

to represent elements of the Mid-Autumn Festival such as the

moon, lanterns, and rabbits. You can also include traditional

Chinese characters related to the festival.

4. Arrange the cut-out shapes on the rectangular bookmark and

glue them down using a glue stick. Be creative with the placement

and colors, making it visually appealing.

5. Use a black marker or pen to draw finer details on the shapes,

such as facial expressions on the rabbits or designs on the lanterns.

6. Once the glue has dried, punch a hole at the top of the bookmark

using a hole puncher. This is where the ribbon or yarn will be

threaded through for decoration.

7. Optionally, cut a short piece of ribbon or yarn and thread it

through the hole. Tie a knot at the end, creating a loop for easy

bookmarking.
